Potbelly Pig
Rescued January 5, 2022
June 24, 2021 – June 26, 2022
Piggie Smalls was one of six piglets known as “The Christmas Six“, who were saved from euthanasia by our adoption of them right around Christmas of 2021. He was named by Amanda D. as part of our “sponsor and name that piglet” program shortly after we gave him a forever home. Amanda was one of his care takers while he was at Animal Control before he came to live with us, and fell in love with him. Piggie Smalls was the smallest of the group who had to recover from an eye infection when he first came into our possession. Sadly he passed away shortly after his first birthday peacefully in his sleep due to a respiratory disease. Genetics could have been a factor, especially knowing that Piggie Smalls was the runt of the litter. He was cremated and buried in Tulip’s Meadow…our final resting place for animals here at the sanctuary.
