Our team is a wonderful group with diverse backgrounds who work together and embrace the mission of Piggins and Banks in giving unwanted pigs and animals a life-long sanctuary of peace and love.

Aaron Riddle Piggins and Banks

Aaron Riddle

Executive Director / Co-Founder

Aaron oversees the day-to-day operations of the Piggins and Banks Pig and Animal Sanctuary including financial, legal, marketing, and website aspects along with building and grounds maintenance. He’s also known by the pigs as “The Head Hog” and also serves as a Virginia Marriage Commissioner.

Christie Riddle

Director of Operations / Co-Founder

Christie handles management of Piggins and Banks operations including volunteer scheduling, visit coordination, animal health / veterinary relations, and pig / animal acquisitions for the sanctuary. She has a vast knowledge of animal care and is a USDA-licensed hedgehog breeder (Riddle’s Hedgehogs and Friends, LLC).

Natalie Langford

Board Member

Natalie is one of Winchester, Virginia’s top real estate agents since 2007 and helped Aaron and Christie with their past home purchases. She helped the Riddle Family discover and close on the property they now call home that became the Piggins and Banks Pig and Animal Sanctuary. She is an animal lover and dedicated greyhound owner.

Kathryn Owens

Board Member

Kathryn is owner and operator of House of DeTail, the best dog grooming salon in the Winchester, VA. She has over 20 years of grooming experience, including managing a high volume grooming shop and kennel, and several years of running a mobile grooming business. She is has been the long-time groomer of the Riddle Family’s dogs and is an animal enthusiast (dogs, cats, and bunnies to name a few).

John E Owens

John E. Owens

Board Member

John (no relation to Kathryn) has worked for nearly two decades at Laurel Ridge Community College’s Fauquier Campus as a library specialist and archivist. He is an active member of the American Association of State and Local History and the Cauliflower Alley Club. A lifelong animal lover, he has two rescue dogs from Puerto Rico, one from Texas, and a cat that was found roaming the woods of Culpeper County. He was the first member of the general public to tour Piggins and Banks when we began to offer tours in early 2021 and is also a proud pig sponsor of Onyx.

Joshua Riddle

Chief Technology Officer

Josh, Aaron’s brother, provides marketing and technology support to Piggins and Banks. He is a life-long entrepreneur and has a vast array of knowledge in the world of technology and app / web development.
