Pallets full of pumpkin donated by the White House

White House Halloween Pumpkins Donated to Pig Sanctuary

Our pigs were treated to pallets full of “presidential pumpkins” after Halloween this year!

All the pumpkins used at the White House 2023 Halloween event were graciously donated to Piggins and Banks to help feed our rescued mini and full-size pigs.

Syzygy Events International, the Maryland-based company responsible for putting together the White House Halloween event, delivered pallets full of pumpkins to our sanctuary the day after Halloween.

“All animals deserve to be loved and safe.”, said Julie Shanklin, owner and founder of Syzygy Events. “Piggins and Banks provides that for these special pigs. We wanted to help a little with some yummy treats.”

Pumpkins are a type of “superfood” for pigs, meaning they are full of nutrients that are beneficial for their health and well-being.

We are humbled and incredibly thankful for the generosity of Syzygy Events! 🎃🐷
