Charlotte is one of the gang we call “The Three Pigs”, which also includes her friends, brothers Babe and Wilbur. They came from the Eastern Shore of Maryland and are all pink in color. Their owner loved the three pigs very much but had to re-home them because they were moving and could not take them. Shortly after taking her in we had her spayed to help with temperament and long-term cancer risk. The vet told us it was a good thing we brought her in when we did. She was diagnosed with a condition known as “pyometra” which is an infection of the uterus and a life threatening condition. This is part of the reason that it is recommended to spay pigs at a young age. Thankfully the vet was able to give her proper treatment and all was well! An absolute sweetheart, Charlotte is a gentle treat taker and loves to be pet and scratched. While Babe and Wilbur are more energetic and lively, Charlotte is calm and relaxed always living in the moment and never making a fuss about anything.
