George was one of our most beloved pigs here at Piggins and Banks. He was never meant to live past 10 months old, having been born on a traditional farm for slaughter. But thank you to the kind heart of a young boy who saved him during a “pig scramble” event at a local fair, Georgie found a forever home with us where he lived most of his life.
A true gentle giant, Georgie loved attention and always entertained our tour visitors showing how large pigs can grow. He was also the star of one of our most viral social media videos helping to teach millions of people about the different sizes of various pigs.
Georgie truly touched many lives during his short time here on Earth and made a true difference in the fight for greater education and empathy towards pigs.
Georgie was cremated by Peaceful Valley Crematorium and a rock was placed in his honor in our memorial field known as Tulip’s Meadow.
