Fern

Potbelly Pig
Rescued January 19, 2021
9/13/2020 – 10/1/2021

Fern was brought to Piggins and Banks by Sussex County Animal Services in the Richmond area as a bonus pig rescue (she tagged along the trip with Bruce and Onyx). She was a sweet piglet who took right to the routine at Piggins and Banks of knowing when mealtimes are and how to get on our good side for a treat. As a piglet she was a great friend to older pig Bertha and kept her company. Unfortunately Fern came down with a respiratory illness and despite our best efforts and vet care, she rapidly declined and passed away. Her death shocked us greatly and she is missed by us and all the other pigs here.
