In Memoriam – Pigs

We remember those pigs that we have lost over the years and know they had a wonderful life at Piggins and Banks.

Tuck

Potbelly PigFounding Resident10/15/2011 – 9/2/2021 Tuck came from the same farm as Rosie, so they were practically brother and sister and could always be found close to one another. He was the second pig Aaron and Christie Riddle ever owned. His full name was Friar Tuck, but we always called him Tuck for short. He was always in a good mood and loved pets and belly rubs. He passed away suddenly of a heart-attack on September 2, 2021. We are glad that he was able to live the last full year of his life seeing Piggins and Banks grow and welcome many new pig friends.

Rosie the Pig

Rosie

Rosie was the first pig that the Riddle Family ever took in opening the door for them to learn how smart and special pigs are and ultimately start Piggins and Banks!

Mick

Kune Kune PigFounding Resident8/29/2012 – 9/1/2021 Mick was one of the biggest pig here at Piggins and Banks, partly because of his type of breed which fell on the large side (Kune Kune). We watched him grow from a little piglet in 2012 and he was one of our pet pigs that came to Piggins and Banks as a founding resident. He may have looked intimidating with his dark color and tusks, but he was a gentle giant and loved any attention and a good ear scratch. One of our most popular pigs, his sweet face was beloved by so many. He passed away in his sleep at the age of 9. We miss him dearly. Read about Mick’s passing: Mick the Pig Has Passed Away
