The Piggins and Banks Team are people who love and care for all pigs and animals.

Our team is a wonderful group with diverse backgrounds who work together and embrace the mission of Piggins and Banks in giving unwanted pigs and animals a life-long sanctuary of peace and love.

Aaron Riddle

Executive Director / Co-Founder

Aaron oversees the day-to-day operations of the Piggins and Banks Pig and Animal Sanctuary including financial, legal, marketing, and website aspects along with building and grounds maintenance. The pigs affectionately call him “Head Hog” (you can too!). He also is a Virginia Marriage Commissioner and professional photographer.

Christie Riddle

Director of Operations / Co-Founder

Christie handles management of Piggins and Banks operations including animal health check-ups, veterinary visits, and intakes for the sanctuary. She has a vast knowledge of animal care and genetics. She also is fluent in Russian.

Natalie Langford

Board Member

Natalie has been one of Winchester, Virginia’s top real estate agents since 2007. She helped the Riddle Family discover and close on the property they now call home that became Piggins and Banks: Pig and Animal Sanctuary. She is an animal lover and dedicated greyhound owner.

John E Owens

John E. Owens

Board Member

John has worked for nearly two decades at Laurel Ridge Community College’s Fauquier Campus as a library specialist and archivist. He is an active member of the American Association of State and Local History and the Cauliflower Alley Club. A lifelong animal lover, he continually gives homes to foster cats and dogs. He was the first member of the general public to tour Piggins and Banks when we began to offer tours in early 2021 and is also a proud pig sponsor of Onyx.

Viviane Meder

Board Member

Vivi is the TRiO Director at Laurel Ridge Community College, which provides additional support to students who are first-generation college attendees, low income, or have a documented disability. She also serves on the board for the Preserve Historic Winchester nonprofit and loves old houses, “especially ones with ghosts”. She is a proud pig sponsor of Stella and Persimmon (the latter of which she named during our rescue piglet naming contest in 2024).

Joshua Riddle

Chief Technology Officer

Josh, Aaron’s brother, provides marketing and technology support to Piggins and Banks. He is a life-long entrepreneur and has a vast array of knowledge in the world of technology and app / web development.
