McMillian “Mick” the Kune Kune Pig
August 30, 2012 – September 1, 2021
It is with a very heavy heart that we write to inform everyone that Mick passed away this afternoon. We went out to feed him this evening and he was laying peacefully in his favorite spot…having passed away in his sleep.
We are heartbroken to say the least. He was a big part of our lives since he was a little piglet and beloved by so many that supported our mission.
Since we had begun fundraising for a future surgical procedure of Mick’s, we are offering all donors who contributed towards his future surgery a refund…or we can roll it over to our newly-established The Mick Memoriam Fund.
This new fund will be used to rescue two new pigs in need and give them a forever home here. We feel that Mick would have wanted us to help other pigs in his place to continue our mission.
Mick will be cremated and his ashes spread over Tulip’s Meadow (our memorial area for animals who have passed away here at Piggins and Banks). We thank everyone for the support that has helped all of our pigs live such happy lives. It won’t be the same without Mick. We will miss him.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mick Memoriam Fund.
